What does a website cost?

Price differences are enormous, and there are reasons for that. Four factors determine nearly everything.

Content

Copy, photography and structure. The most underestimated item, and the one that stalls most projects. A site waiting three months for content is not a technical problem.

Visual bespoke work

An existing template adapted costs a fraction of a design made for you. Both can be good; they are not the same thing.

Functionality

A brochure site, a shop and a site with a customer area are three different categories. Every feature needs design, development and testing.

Multilingual

It does not double the price, but it adds permanently: every future change has to be made in every language.

What comes after

Hosting, updates, backups and small changes. A site without a maintenance budget is a site that ages badly, and it shows within a year.
