Have an app built — for iOS and Android
We build mobile apps around your business process, not as a standalone product. From analysis and design through to release on the App Store and Play Store — and connected to the systems you already run, so you never have to enter the same data twice.
We also build and operate our own platforms: SMSBOX, 2Mail and WWW4, plus the app behind the Zelzate bridge. What we build for you, we maintain the same way we maintain what we run ourselves.
What kind of app do you need?
The technology varies less than the intent. Who is going to use the app decides almost everything: the design, the security, and whether it belongs in a store at all.
An app for your customers
Ordering, booking, tracking or staying in touch — publicly available on the App Store and Play Store. Here design and ease of use weigh heaviest: a customer who gets stuck does not come back.
An app for your staff
Registrations, planning, case files or approvals for internal use. Often not publicly distributed but rolled out to a specific group, connected to your existing administration.
An app for the field
For people working on site: measurements, work orders, photos or inspections. Here what matters most is that the app keeps working somewhere with poor reception and syncs later.
One app for both platforms
In most cases we build one app that runs on both iOS and Android. That saves not only development time but above all maintenance: every later change has to be made once instead of twice, and both versions stay identical by default.
If your case genuinely needs platform-specific functionality — deep camera integration, wearables or hardware — we discuss that up front. We choose the approach based on what your app has to do, not the other way round.
How such a project runs
You see working versions along the way, not a schedule on paper. That way you can steer before something is finished rather than after.
Analysis of what the app has to do
We start from your process as it actually runs, not from a feature list. Who uses the app, at what moment, and what has to happen afterwards in your administration? Those questions set the scope — and therefore the price.
Proposal with approach and price
You get a proposal with the chosen approach, what is and is not included, and a price. Ownership and source code arrangements are also recorded in writing at this stage, so there is no discussion about them later.
Design and build in stages
We design the screens and build the app in stages. At every interim delivery you see what exists and can steer. That keeps the app close to what you genuinely need.
Connect and test
The app is connected to your existing systems and tested on real devices, not only in a simulator. Slow connections, small screens and older devices are part of that — because that is where your users are.
Release and maintain
We publish the app to the App Store and Play Store on developer accounts registered in your name. Maintenance follows: operating systems get updates and the stores periodically set new requirements, and your app has to stay ready for that.
Why JAAN
We are a Belgian IT company founded in 2000, based in Zelzate. We do not only build apps for clients: SMSBOX, 2Mail and WWW4 are our own platforms, with thousands of users. That means we carry the consequences of our own technical choices ourselves — year after year.
